Is it hopeless?

When I was 16 I kept trying to get pregnant, but never did. Which in itself was a blessing cause I would have been ready then. But now at age 28, almost 29 I still haven't managed to get pregnant.
I was on birth control for close to a year around 6 months ago but stopped, I was on it because I had my period for 74 days straight, even after having a D&C because of it. Now my last period was 96 days ago, and my OBGYN gave me medroxyprogestrone to try to bring on a period so I would ovulate, but no go there either. Is there any suggestions, on things that could possibly help? IS there anything I can do? I feel so hopeless. I can't really talk to anyone in my family about it because most of them don't agree with me wanting a baby right now.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Is it hopeless?

Have you tried acupuncture, I know of 3 women who had big problems getting pregnant and had this treatment and it worked, but you have to stick with it . Its not a quick fix, but i have seen it work for women who had tried IVF.

Re: Is it hopeless?

No I haven't tried that, but both that and IVF aren't covered on my insurance. So it would be a little to expensive for me to pay out of pocket up front. My doctor does want me to get a blood test done and get my hormone lvls, cause he says I have a hormone imbalance. But yet keeps telling me to take my basal temp. on a daily basis. I have no clue what the does for anything. I appreciate your suggestion though. Thanks
