| Regular Periods, Hormones Normal, Not Ovulating
Hi all,
I am 43 and met my husband quite late but we would now like to have a child if its possble.
I have always had regular periods 27-28 days, but I have started using an Ovulation Test Kit and I haven't had the second line to indicate ovulation.
I had the day 21 test, and although it showed that my hormones were normal (not menopausal), it was not high enough to indicate ovulation?
I've been successfully pregnant twice when I was younger.
My mom had the menopause at 52, and there are a lot of older pregnancies in the family.
I'm just trying to understand things a bit better - im new to this :-)
Everything I have read about anovulation indicates irregular periods or longer cycles? Mine have been a regular 27-28days since I started them.
I'm overweight BMI just under 30.
Can anyone shed any light on my situation? Everything about my cycle says things are fine, but the ov test says no. At day 21 test 18 months ago came back as 40 indicating that i was ovulating then.
Cheers
Rach
