| Do I Have Urethritis?
For two months now, I've had the following symptoms:
Constant feeling that I need to pee all the time, weak urine stream, trouble starting urination, frequent urination, inability to hold much urine, and vaginal discharge. I'll also seldom get brief pain or itching around my urethra. I do not, however, have pain during urination.
I've had 3 urine tests, a blood test, and an ultrasound and all have come back negative for infection or afflictions of any other kind.
I hadn't had sex for over a month before I got these symptoms so they aren't from an STD. I had no clue (still don't, really) what was causing these symptoms and the doctor seemed really apathetic. The symptoms kind of went into remission for two weeks but became severely irritated a morning after I'd masturbated. After hours and hours and hours of research, I've come to the conclusion that I could quite possibly have urethritis. I feel this is more likely than a permanent more serious condition such as interstitial cystitis or pelvic floor dysfunction (which at one point, I thought I had) due to my age which is only 18 and I have only had 2 UTIs in the past.
I have an appointment to see my doctor on Friday, which is 3 days away. I dont know what she's going to tell me because she has been very dismissive through this whole process. I am going to ask about the possibility of having urethritis. I'm wondering if my symptoms sound like urethritis; my main source of doubt comes from the fact that I seem to have every other symptom of it, aside from the main symptom which is painful urination. I have also tried taking advil and naproxen to try and relieve the discomfort, and has not worked. I don't know if I just didn't take enough or what but if it is urethritis I would have thought that taking anti-inflammatory medication would work. Please help!!
