urethra/vagina weird sensation, please help! - Urology Message Board

For the last few months, ive been having a weird, very mildly painful sensation after going for a pee. the sensation can last from 5 minutes , up to an hour. i have no frequency or urgency, burning etc.. Just this sensation. I have had my urine tested ,and it came back clear, no infection. Ive also seen a urologist and gyno who are a bit baffled really. I have no infection, except for a candida overgrowth that was found. i have no discharge or itching though, its very weird. This sensation can sometimes be there in between going to the tiolet, but its very mild. I also have a cervical erosion and my gyno said that the neck of the womb is red.
Can this sensation after i pee, be related to vaginal soreness? its all so near to each other.
I was diagnosed last year, with intestinal candida, and i am a highly allergic person. I dont know if these are related though. Please, is there anyone out there who can help me in any way? im so confused! - thanks.

I don't know that I can help but I'll waffle on anyway! :-)

Has your intestinal Candida been diagnosed, and by whom and has it been treated and how? According to my doctor things like oral Nilstat aren't much good, diflucan is much better.

I've had cervical erosion (from long time pill use) The only symptom I ever had was bleeding after intercourse and then only when I hadn't had sex for say 3-4 days. If I was having sex every day - no problem (what a problem - just need the man to go with it! :-))

You don't say your age or anything else - no chance of a prolapse of any sort?

Are you drinking enough - is your urine pale/clear? Concentrated urine can give strange sensations.

Hi speedgal, im 29 yers of age. Only ever had one bladder infection. the doc who diagnosed candida is a medical doctor as well as alternative. He gave me nystatin which didnt do much really. Also some natural herbs. but i did feel slightly better, and broke my diet earlier this year, with bad results. i got worse and developed these awful urethra/vaginal symptoms as well. Ive had an ultra sound that was clear. ive also had all the std's tested and they all came back clear too. Im lost really, im wondering if its yeast in the urethra? or just candida overgrowth in my body? Im taking an antifungal now, and also Diflucan as well, but the doctor only gave me such a small dose, im sure it wont do anything. thankyou so much for replying to me. Take care.

Hi,

I posted last week about problems i was having (read post "Bladder spasms." it turns out i was having urethra spasms due to an infection in my urethra. the infection was not caused by an outside bacteria but by something in my blood plasma. so it doesn't show up on a culture. i am now on antibiotics and muscle relaxants for pain. maybe you have similar problem?
