 What type of Bacterial Infection?! HELP!!
After about 9-10 days of unprotected sex with a women I was dating, I developed a weird sensation in my abdominal region. It was present for a few days, no great pain, but was weird. About a month later, i started to develop pain in my testicles region and in my lower abdomen. The pain was moderate and couldn't sleep at night. After a few days the pain was a little more tolerable, decided to go see my doctor who did swabs, urine analysis. He said that I probably did pick up something from my partner (I am not longer seeing this person). He put me on doxycycline for 7 days and things went away a week later. The results came back negative.
Unfortunately I haven't had any follow up with my doctor so i don't know what this could be. Is this a simple uti, or a bacterial infection. I would assume had it been chlamydia or any other std it would have shown up in the test. By the way, I DID NOT have any pain during urination or any discharge. I am still not sure what this could have been?!
