Post Reflux diagnosed when 17
I am a 17 year old female and I was diagnosed with reflux last month as a result of an Acucise procedure I had done on me in August 2001. I'm not sure of the grade, but it looks like about a 1 or 2. My question is, does reflux go away on its own at an earlier age? Is it harder for it to go away when I'm older? Will it go away? (Sorry, one question suddenly turned into 3)

My 4 year old daughter had reflux - grade 4. She had surgery to correct the reflux as she kept getting terrible infections. From what I can remember, with grade 1 or 2 the urine does not get all the way back to the kidney. I know that younger children generally outgrow grades 1, 2, or 3 reflux. Do you have a good urologist. Your questions are important and I think worth a visit with your Dr. I wish you the best.
