Try a water squeeze bottle while emptying your bladder. It may decrease the stinging on the skin.
What you are experiencing does not sound like a UTI. Just to make sure, when you start having discomfort and pain, you may want to take a urine test at your dr's office to see if it actually is an infection.
In general typical symptoms of UTI are: bladder pain, bladder burning, low back pain, fever, bladder spasms, blood in urine. Note that you donot have to have all symptoms.
