Peyronie's disease treatment options
You would think that being a message board, and a website designed for discussion that the site web masters would want the patrons to know all they could about their disease. Unfortunaltely, this is not the case. The folks here at Healthboards want to make it as hard as possible on you the reasearcher. So, any information I've put here about physicians that treat Peyronie's disease has been removed. Have fun searching for yourself, because you'll find no help here. But I will SUGGEST this: (and hopefully it wont get deleted either). While looking for a physician that treats peyronies, you don't want a plastic surgeon, unless he's working with a Urologist, or is a Urologist himself. You want a Board certified urologist. I would tell you where to look to find out if you're physician is board certified, but Healthboards will delete it (you're not importand obviously). So look to see if he is board certified. Check with state authorities to see if your physician has any disciplinary actions against him and question this. (Again, I would tell you how to find this but it would be deleted). If you are opting for surgery, make sure he's done it more than 15 times (is the general recommendation). There are several causes, and several suggested treatments for peyronie's disease, but only one proven treatment, surgery. I could link you to other accredited health sites for more information, but, as stated earlier, your need for knowledge is not important here at healthboards. So hopes this vague and general information helps to some small degree.
Thanks
