It all began with a soft, finger-like projection of about 2 inches radiating down from my left groin and some heavy itching in this same area. I also had pain in my testicles and lower/left abdominal and kidney pain. What followed were numerous tests which revealed epididymitis and a small hydrocele on both testicles plus a small vericocele on the left testicle.

I was put on Cipro for two weeks which cleared up the epididymitis and kidney pain. I also had a boggy-feeling prostate and ejacualtion was becoming increasingly difficult but the Cipro seems to have cleared that up to. I had been ultrasounded twice, CT-scan, prostate massage, CBC, BMP, PSA, UA, etc by this time and everything looked pretty good on my re-check a few weeks ago. Also, most of the tests came back normal (ie; no kidney stones, no bacteria, etc). My mother has had lots of kidney stones throughout her life and also kidney cysts so I wonder about my chances of having these things too.

Then, the lower/left abdominal/kidney pain returned and has been getting worse and worse so that it is becoming difficult to sit anymore and I get sharp pains in my left kidney and soreness and pain in the whole area. I 've also had three different diagnoses for the finger-like bulge in my left groin (ie; lipoma, inguinal hernia, vericocele, etc) and the urologist and surgeon basically just blew me off and told me I did'nt need to worry about it.

Does any of this sound familiar?. Are all of these things I mention related in any way and can one cause complications with another, etc?. I see my GP on monday and my left side/kidney area is so sore I could cry right now and I don't feel like anyone is taking my problem seriously. Sorry this is so long and thank you for listening!!
