help! - Urology Message Board

I went to the ER today w/ severe pelvic pain that lasted about an hour and now the whole pelvic area is very sore also I have pain in my right shoulder above the shoulder blade and pain above my right hip bone and in a little. The Er doc said maybe a bladder spasm and sent me home. the Urologist said he wasn't sure if it was a spasm because of how sore it still is. I have a cat scan tomorrow and they will be looking inside my bladder on the 20th. I'm still so sore. My mom had endimetriosis (sp) but the only change in my period is it last about 9 days (I'm on the pill) please any help would be great! Thanks diane

sounds like it could be anything from a urology problem to a gynecological problem..i cant believe that the doctors sent you home with you still having so much pain..hopefully you'll find some answers soon..good luck..

I guess I'm wondering why everyone is so focused on your bladder? Your pelvis encompasses more organs than your bladder, and the fact that you have pain in other places doesn't sound like a bladder problem to me. Has anyone given you a pelvic and actually felt around, or is something else going on that makes them suspect a bladder problem?

nope no pelvic exam can you beleive it? all of the Doctors i saw were mad at each other each asking did the other doctor give you a pelvic? or did anyone do an ultrasound? So i think I'm dealing w/ a couple of idiots! LOL!My Gyno did call to tell me I had what he thought was a ruptured ovarian cyst and he changed my bc pills.
