Post Particles in urine....

Please don't laugh,I am really scared!I am on a high protein diet and have noticed very cloudy urine. I did some research on the net and it said collect your urine and hold it up to the light in a clear glass to inspect it. I noticed so much particles some bigger than otehr floating all through urine, with a strong odor to it. I drank a ton of water and it seems to look better and much more diluted. also,I was just at drs apt about 3 weeks ago and they did a dip-stick and said it was normal.Am I over reacting and just need more fluids? Thanks yall.

hello .unless youre having other symptoms i wouldnt worry too much about the cloudy urine...try adding more water to your daily consumption and see how it goes.if for some reason it doesnt clear up you should take another sample to your dr to be tested..cloudy urine can sometimes be a symptom of a urinary tract infection..good luck

I don't know if you eat alot of meat on your "high protein diet," but if so you are adding an enormous amount of uric acid (nitrogenous waste), growth hormones, steroids, and antibiotics into your body. You may wish to reevaluate your diet if this is the case.

It's called ketosis, and it's a by-product of a high-protein diet. Your body produces this in high amounts on this type of a diet and it comes out in your urine. It will also cause the strong odor....and very bad breath. The odor at both ends is the ketosis. You may want to change your diet...and maybe ask a very close friend how offensive your breath has become. This is probably one of the main reasons why a high-protein diet isn't something to be on for very long. Take care.
