I was wondering if anyone has had any success in treating recurrent urinary tract infections with Cranberry capsules? If so, what specific brand did you use?
I have tried drinking cranberry or blueberry juice until I practically turned into a cranberry or blueberry, but have found them to be no help. (And I'm talking the unsweetened, even organic versions - still nothing). I hear that the capsules have higher concentrations of the key nutrients anyway, so I am willing to try them. But some brands are expensive, and I want to maximize what little resources I have by picking a good one.
So if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.
I've been taking them for about a year and a half now, and yes they work, at least for me. I found mine online because they're less expensive, and also because I had a hard time finding them in a store. I use Nature's Way Standardized (MUST be standardized). It's also an Anti-Adherence which further helps to keep bacteria from attaching. I get 120 tablets for I believe $9.99, and you're to take 3 a day, or one every 8 hours, with 8 oz. of water. So I take one in the morning when I get up, one at dinner, and one before bed. Do a search online and you'll find them.
Thanks for the info. I have heard good things about the Nature's Way products. I saw their cranberry capsules in a store today, but they were more than $9.99. I'll shop around.....Al
Actually, I think they're like $15 or so in the store, aren't they? I found them online because it's just so much easier to order them and have them arrive in 3-4 days then to drive all over the planet trying to find them. And it's cheaper.
