Ben,
I went through the same situation about 9 months ago. I kept going to my family doctor for almost 8 months before I decided to go to an urologist and believe me on that first visit with a few questions and a prostate exam I was dignosed with a prostate inflamation and because I waited so long I got a severed infection also. I was extemely painful. I don't remember what medicine he gave me, but I was taken out of caffeine, alcohol, spice foods and citrus. It took me 8 wks to get back to normal. So, I will recommend that you see an urologist asap, before it gets worst.

I am very worried about what it could be. My Dr. has prescribed me cipro @ 500mg 2x/day and in 14 days if it doesn't clear up, she will refer me to a urologist. If I were to take a guess where the pain is coming from, it would be the seminal vessel (just roughly guessing from a diagram of the male reproductive system). I have no painful urination, no frequent urination, I was checked thoroughly today for painful spots in my abdomin/pelvic area including my testicles...all negative. Has anyone else experienced this or has any idea what this could be?? I would rule out STD's because my last STD test was 6mos ago - all negative and I haven't been sexually active since.
Any help would be appreciated...I am extremely worried.
