Hi....
I've posted very few times, but now really need some advice.
I was diagnosed with TM january 2003, which got somewhat better with
steroids, and i was able to get on with life somewhat. Except for
symptoms flaring up, like weakness etc, and constant bladder infections.
Just this month i noticed that the symtpoms were getting stronger, so i
decided to see a neurologist, because i was having difficulty walking
and had a lot of weakness, and arm/leg/neck pain like at the onset of
january. I didn't know if this was a reoccurance or just something left
over from the TM i had in january. Anyway he put me in the hospital and
i had 5 days of steroid treatment. Over which my pain and weakness
worsened, i also had a brain mri and mris of the neck and spine.
Everything showed that i was okay. And the *new* neurologist i had just
gotten said that in january while reading my mri of spine, the TM could
have been an *artifact* meaning not truly being TM, though i had all the
symptoms. Now i'm really confused, the steroids helped my bladder a lot,
i can!
finally pee peacefully, it's been such a long time. But the neuro said
that had nothing to do with anything, he was sure i had MS. I don't
think he was a very good doctor, he didn't want to put any of the
symptoms together. So anyway, Nobody knows what's wrong with me now, my
mri of january may have been a misdiagnosis, though i'm not sure how
they culd have overlooked that. And my mri now turns out fine. IS this a
reoccurance of myelitis? Or residual effects? I feel horrible again,
dizziness, constant pain, migraines, weakness. I don't know what to do........
