Deep yellow urine? - Urology Message Board

Ok, i know something along these lines was already posted, however...
I have DEEP YELLOW urine, bright but not like, neon or anything.
and I KNOW its not vitamins...i get it when i take vitamins, however i havent been taking them and i have it......
usually REALLY REALLY deep yellow in AM and just DEEP yellow thru the rest of the day.
any thoughts on what it could be or what other symptoms to look for???

Dark-coloured urine can mean several things. If you don't have any funny symptoms (urgency, frequency, burning, flank pain...) it could be your diet. If you have a diet high in vitamin C, this can show in your urine. If you eat alot of carrots, this can also have an effect on the colour of the urine. The most popular reason for dark-coloured urine is dehydration, which means that one is not drinking enough fluids during the course of the day.

Of course, if you have been drinking alot and still have dark urine, it could be a sign of something else, like liver dysfunction. In any event, if it is bothersome, you might want to consult your GP.

I experienced the same thing this week... I went to the clinic and took a urine test. Came back negative for UTI. So they suspected that it may be an STD, which surprised me considering I had received oral the weekend before. This was my only sexual experience in a looong time. So they took a urethral swab, which let me tell you hurts like nothing you could imagine!

So, now I'm just waiting. I hope you figure things out!
