Lump on/in right scrotum

So I've been researching and looking up websites and so... But I haven't really found an answer yet... though I'm planning to see my doctor as soon as this holiday weekend if over, I still want to ask for opinions.

The other day I discovered a lump on my right scrotum. It is on the right, bottom, by my leg. From what I can feel, it is firm and about the size of a peanut m&m. It does not feel attached to the testes or any other part of that. Yet, it feels like it is attached to the wall of the scrotum.

It does kind of hurt when touched or walking around... definately noticeable. At first, I thought it was just a sore spot or something from rubbing against the skin of my leg... but when I touched it... it appeared to be a lump and not just on the surface.

I'm not sure what to do.. but does anyone have anything to say at all? Thanks. BTW, I'm 23.

The original post by chipchen is very old but if anyone has found similar lump please let me know what you've found out about it. I just found a similar lump. Same location. Same sensitivity. Same size, shape.

Thanks,
Jim

Re: Lump on/in right scrotum

I saw the doc today and had a scan scheduled. It may be a blocked sperm duct or cyst. The doc was concerned but didn't see need for alarm. It will be another week or so. I'll post results when I have them.

All the best,
Jim

Re: Lump on/in right scrotum

I had an ultrasound scan. The doctor said I had a cyst on both sides although I can't remember if she said where. I also have a hydro-seal on both sides. There is nothing sinister.
