hi, i had baby 7 and half months ago and i think im leaking urine as every now and then my knickers are wet and smell strong of ammonia, my water has been checked for infection but nothing, wonder what it could be if not urine. Its almost a very strong odour, not a wee smell, please help, april
Yes, it's urine. Ths is not uncommon after having a baby, but it may not go away either. Some girls have this after giving birth from the muscles being stretched and losing elasticity; for some it slowly goes away after the muscles tighten back up; other girls find it just keeps getting worse. You could try kegels to help tighten them. It may simply be that your muscles are taking a longer time than usual to get back to normal. If it doesn't get better or you find you're leaking more, you may need to see your doctor as there's things they can do to help.
