| | White Blood Cells in Semen and Urine
I recently had white blood cells found in my urine and my semen yet when they did a culture in the lab, no bacteria or infection was found. In my research I discovered that white cells in blood may be a sign of something serious, but in semen it can only indicate infection or just be unexplained. As much as I search I find no indication whatsoever that this may indicate something serious.
I was wondering whether unexplained white blood cells in urine and semen are reason to pursue further testing for elevated white blood cell levels in blood. I have seen nowhere the suggestion that further testing of the counts in blood is warranted if there is no explanation for the counts in the semen.'
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
