What causes urine to be cloudy? - Urology Message Board

Other than infection, what can cause urine to be cloudy? I don't get it all of the time, just sometimes. And, usually after, my bladder hurts a bit, but I don't have an infection. I thought that I might have IC but the symptoms went away for a couple of months, so I gave that idea up, but now the cloudy urine is back. I had a test done for mycoplasma, blood test, and it did show some elevation, but the doc says not enough to be a positive result. Any ideas?

I once had cloudy urine, and it was discovered the calcium supplement I was taking caused the problem. When I stopped taking this particular type of calcium, the cloudiness went away. Not sure if that is what is going on with you, but thought I would suggest it as a possibility.

Thanks, I do take a calcium supplement, maybe I'll stop using it for a while and see if it clears.
