What could be going on? - Urology Message Board

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice, my problem is that i pee 20+ times a day, i have been keeping a diary, for example yesterday i drank 3 cups hot tea and 64 fl oz water throughout the day, and peed 23 times. I am not sure whats going on, i don't have pain peeing but have pressure in my lower back and sometimes bladder area. Not a lot of pain tho just more an uncomfortable feeling, It's been going on for a while now but getting worse. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi, Just wanted to add that i went to the doctor today and i do not have an infection. They are doing blood tests to check the sodium levels,and blood sugar.I understand the blood sugar tests for diabetes, but i don't really understand the sodium one.Does any one have any ideas? Would apprieciate any help.

Hi Saltire,

How old are you and have you been going to a gynocologist regularly? Could it possibly be a prolapsed bladder and/or uterus? That makes you have to pee more?! Just a thought.

Are you going to a urologist? If it gets worse and the family dr. and the gyno can see nothing wrong, you might try one. But, get ready for some "lovely" tests!

Thanks for your reply, I am 38 and yes i have been going to a gyne every 3 months for the last year for mild dysplasia, which thankfully is gone now. Still have to go every 3 months for a while tho. I am getting so tired of peeing, i hope they have something to tell me when i go back to doc on Friday. If the blood work shows nothing then he is sending me to the Urologist, i have heard about some of the tests, not looking forward to any of that but i am soooo ready to find out what is going on.
