Too Much Bathroom Time...

If anyone can give me a little insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. One morning when I got up I had gone to the bathroom and I went pretty good and then like maybe 30 mins later I'm going again and it's a normal amount, and then after I got my son and husband off to school and work I decided to lay down and I felt the pressure of needing to pee again, so I get up and go and it's still a normal amount, so I'm like what the heck?? It went on for a couple of days and then I went to the hospital cause I thought maybe I had some sort of infection, but I didn't. They ran some blood work and I had a pelvic exam done to see if I had a yeast infection or any other std and there was nothing, he even felt my uterus and everything was fine. So I'm thinking maybe it'll just clear itself up and go away, well nope not such luck for me. I just went to my doc to get a yearly pap test done and I told him about what my trouble is and he told me about maybe over active bladder so he took some urine to just make sure no infection was going on and as far as I know it's fine, but he did take blood from me (not sure why though) but I should be getting the results back in about a week or so when my pap test results come in. I mean I don't get any pain/burning when I go, sometimes my lower part of my abdomen hurts cause I have to go and I feel full, so when I go sometimes I feel better and sometimes I feel that I still kinda have to go yet. I seem to feel the pressure a lot more when I lay down, I can kinda control it when I'm busy with something or whatever. Sometimes in the mornings I'm going like every 15-30 mins...and I'm not even drinking that much, and so I can't understand why I'm going so often. Ok enough rambling, and info or if anyone is having the same troubles please let me in on any findings, ect....TIA

Re: Too Much Bathroom Time...

Hi,

I go all the time too. Part of mine, has a reason. I drink lots of water, coffee, tea. Mostly water! I do not mind going so much, but I have urge problems. If I wait too long, I am going all over myself or at the very least leaking, on the way to the bathroom. I wear a panty liner or very light pad.

They do have some meds for people like us, but most of them make my mouth too too dry. And I usually cannot tell that they work that well. But, you guys might want to try them.

Also, there a certain foods that act like diuretics. Like olive oil. Cannot remember the others at the moment. So, if yall have changed your diet any time lately, that could be part of the reason.

Take care.

Wannabe

Re: Too Much Bathroom Time...

Well all of my blood work was fine, and my pap was normal as well. I still go pee a lot and I can't stand the feeling of pressure even after I go. I don't go as often like before, but sometimes I do if I'm laying down. I'm not wanting to be on medicine for this either, but I wish there was some kind of home remedy I could try or something to make it a little better.

Hi JJ's! I had a similar problem this summer where I thought I would have to strap a commode on my back! I kept feeling like I'd have to urinate and then I'd go a normal amount, and then 20 minutes later...and later...until I finally said I think I need to go to the ER and get this checked. (Doesn't it always happen on a holiday weekend, too?). Well, they checked my urine and that was okay but the ER doc had enough insight to ask if I was ever checked for diverticulitis. I said no but wanted him to check me. He ordered the CT scan and lo and behold: I had diverticulosis. He told me that the pressure from the lower bowel caused pressure on the bladder sometimes and makes it feel just like a bladder infection. I upped my fiber and unless I eat something with large seeds, it doesn't bother me. I saw your post and just had to write you. I sincerely hope that you feel better because I know what a nuisance this can be. Take care--Hopeto
