Question Frequent Urination - Diabetes Insipidus - Prostate

After speaking with several "professionals", I am so amazed that no one has been able to explain to me how it is possible for someone NOT to drink liquids for several hours and still continue to urinate. I have heard about "diabetes insipidus", but they claim I do not have it. On the other hand, I have measured how much I drank vs. how much I went, and it does not add up. I am not a doctor, so can someone enlighten me?

Re: Frequent Urination - Diabetes Insipidus - Prostate

Hi, I know this is several months after your post, but I just saw this as I was looking for posts on diabetes insipidus which my husband has. I hope you were able to find your answers by now. With DI, you would have to drink a lot, usually 2.5 or more gallons a day of water. You also would urinate a lot more than most people. If a person with DI doesn't drink that much, they will easily dehydate which could be very critical.
