Everything I look up about Priapism says it's a condition where an erection lasts more than 4 hours, is painfull and won't go away. I say 'sort of' because mine will go away, I just have to get up - as in, out of bed.

I keep an erection pretty much all night now, untill I stand up for a bit. It seemed like it was relating to needing to pee, but then there are times I get up and don't need to pee. It does hurt of course after a few hours.

I've always had what I thought of as a small bladder, have to pee a lot during the day and usually at least once during the night. This 'priapism' only started in the last few months. I recently started smoking (again) and suspect it's related to that. But I first noticed it while taking prescription pain pills. It seemed like it went away when I quit taking the pills (worse at first though like part of the withdrawl symptoms) - but now it's back with a vengence.
