| | Sweet smelling urine - not diabetes
I'm posting here because I don't know why I've been experiencing sweet smelling urine for several weeks and had nothing show up in a urinalysis. It's especially distinct in the morning for my first pee of the day, but that may be because it's more concentrated. When I took my test, it was in the afternoon and it didn't have a sweet smell at the time, so I'm afraid the test may have not been accurately done. Nonetheless, I don't have the other symptoms of diabetes, like extreme thirst, frequent urination or weight loss and I'm a fit 25 year old with no family history of diabetes either.
I haven't really experienced anything else unusual, and feel fine (no pain, no lack of bladder control, no irritability etc). Has anyone else had experience with this? Could this be the early signs of a kidney problem?
