anyone get a cause for their hematuria???
I have hematuria and wondered if anyone else out there with it has found out why???? The doc wants to do a cystoscopy and I really think I am not going to. I had a ct scan which looked fine and doc says they may not find out where the blood is coming from. Maybe I will just live with the blood.

Is it microscopic or can you actually see the blood? I have had micro-hematuria for over 15 years now, and no one has ever found the cause of it (mind you, I have never had a cysto, an MRI, a CT scan or an IVP). All the doctors I have seen tell me its not a problem and sometimes it just happens, and that it can run in families.

I had every test possible about 10 years ago. All negative. I've had blood in the urine for about 20 years. Usually 2 plus. The doctor said we may never know why. He said possibly a tiny hole in the bladder lining where blood comes through.
