Can a bladder infection or kidney infection cause your creatinine levels to go up suddenly?

Mine went from a 1.9 to a 3.1 in a matter of 4 weeks.

Kinda scared being a diabetic. Sure hope someone answers this....

to answer your question yes it can i have that at the moment nothing a case of antibotics and lot of water can fix
my levels were around 133 now it jumped to 177 and dropped slightly to 161 but check with your gp

I am not sure I understand what your numbers are.....mycreatinine was 1.6 and jumped to 3.1......are your measurements different?

my numbers are differerent due to a totally different country it is standing for 177mmol/h
does that make any sence ?
but your levels should not be jumping up that fast for memory

Realizing its been quite awhile since this post, I'm taking a chance replying. Just wondering from Amy if indeed her function improved once the infection cleared. I'm going through the same thing and my numbers were almost identical. Praying it will return to previous levels next time.
