Week 3 and Still No Answers

Ugh, amazing how my fears come true. One of my biggest fears is having a medical condition that wont go away and destroys your quality of life.

And it seems to be happening to me. Two doctor visits, blood and urine tests, and I still don't have answers. My symptoms are:

frequent urination - urges usually hit after an hour, i can hold it in for 2 hours

get up 2 times at night to urinate

Hot burning sensation when I masturbate

Urge doesn't completely go away after I urinate - very uncomfortable

That's mainly it. I don't feel weakness, good appetite, not thirsty.

SO far, the doc has ruled out diabetes, kidney problems, bladder or kidney infection. Looks like the only thing for me to worry about is bladder cancer or prostrate! Or is there some other deadly disease looming out there that causes frequent urination?

I just really don't know what to do next. From my research, it appears the next test would be to stick the scope up my uretha. But without insurance, I would have problems even getting to see an urologist. Any suggestions on what I can do? This is crazy because these symptoms could classify as overactive bladder which sounds common and not big deal or bladder cancer and I am going to die.

Re: Week 3 and Still No Answers

It sounds like you have a bit of an infection/prostate infection. Getting up a couple of times at night is normal, unless you're pretty young. I would think younge people can sleep thru the night with out having to get up at all. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't check your prostate. It doesn't sound like you have an over active bladder at all.
