| Mysterious Burning in Urethra (2 yrs) no STDs, no UTIs
I'm struggling with what has been a persistent burning feeling in the urethra - on and off for the last 2 years. I have been cleared of the usual UTIs and STDs (it came on after a long period of no sex for me but also a lot of stress)
It will come and go in intensity but it seems most noticeable during urination or masterbation / ejaculation - ie when something is in the urethra or touching it. Also it's least noticeable in the morning. During masterbation there has been this "background" feeling of burning / heat throughout the shaft and along the perineum. I am especially aware of it - and bothered by it - when I am about to climax and then let off I can feel the discomfort in the urethra clearly as the ejaculate is probably settling back into the body.
I can feel some pleasure to ejaculate but its very muted and often drowned out by the discomfort - the obvious effect on masterbation / sex is distressing.
Urination is not so bad now but at times there have been sharp cut-like pains in the head. There have also been other more random needle-like pains in the glans and lower shaft.
Despite being tested for the basics by both urologists and neurologists I feel like something is wrong - I'm caught between thinking its nerve or urologic in nature. If anybody has had similar experiences I would appreciate advice. Could this be in my head even though it so persistent - why would I imagine something this uncomfortable?
thanks
