| Uti seems to be coming back while on antibiotics?
Hey, I was diagnosed with a UTI on Friday and was perscribed trimethoprim to take 2 times a day for 7 days. Over the weekend I felt a lot better but today (Monday) the initial symptoms seem to be coming back. I am still taking the antibiotics. I have tenderness in my lower abdomen and I'm once again finding it difficult to urinate. What could cause this?
Additional notes: I started taking the contraceptive pill two weeks ago for the first time and got this UTI as a result of first time unprotected sex with my boyfriend. We have not had sex since I have got this UTI.
