| Urethral irritation exacerbated by concentrated urine
I'm a 25 yr old male otherwise perfectly health. About 2 months ago I started experienced weird spasms in my urethra accompanied by constant urgency and occasionally weird, almost arousal like sensations. Naturally I went to a doctor, he ran some tests, ruled out UTI, prostatitis and STDs and ultimately suggested that the whole thing might be psychosomatic, which of course was very unhelpful. The symptoms persisted until I realized that my going to the bathroom so often caused the urine to become very concentrated and that this could possibly be what was causing the urethral irritation. Now that I am back to urinating only a few times a day the symptoms have lessened considerably but they are still there, in particular directly after I pass urine after waking up in the morning.
I'm wondering if I might have contracted some sort of allergy that is causing this. Might this be linked to me cutting meat out of my diet about 6 months ago? I'm trying to drink lots of water but sometimes I can drink what seems like gallons of water and not produce any urine at all, while at other times I can drink just a glass of water and pass large amounts of urine 30 minutes after. Could this be caused by dehydration due to some underlying cause?
This is always on my mind and is causing severe distress. Please help.
