urine cytolgy atypical + cytoscopy experience

hi,
the past few months i've had problems with microscopic protein & blood in my urine. i don't know why this is but i went to a urologist to get it checked it out. he had me do a urine cytology which came back atypical because of degenerated urothelial cells; squamous cells, red blood cells, inflammatory cells found.
so he suggested a cytoscopy and nothing was found. he just said my blood vessels appeared to be more prominent than usual. the thing is i sorta had to pee before the procedure but i held it in because it wasnt too too bad, would something like this interfere with him looking through the urethra and bladder?
also is it worth doing another urine cytology? i had another appointment with him and asked and he just told me since the cytoscope procedure came back negative it's unnecessary and because i am so young the likelihood of cancer is small
