| Leg bag discomfort
Hello, everyone;
My father is 79. This week he had a procedure to remove a bladder growth.
He's wearing a leg bag for the next week.
He's experiencing some pronounced discomfort when the bladder releases urine. I've seen him contend with the sensations, and it's not easy to watch. It's not so much 'pain' as it is 'discomfort'...but it is severe.
I told him I'd do some research to find out if this is normal amongst leg bag users; he had to go through this in the past...and actually had the bag removed because of this.
Can anyone provide any input? Is this standard? (He's on antibiotics for pain when urinating; apparently the procedure is something that can be counted on to cause some damage, and he's having to heal through it...but this is at the glans, not where he's feeling this discomfort, which is in another place entirely, 'inside' him.)
Thanks in advance!
