Pee at an angle

I have an enlarged prostate. Sometimes I pee at an angle, sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right. Not consistent and not all of the time. Is this related to the enlarged prostate? Or does anyone have experience with this?

Re: Pee at an angle

I have heard of people going off at an angle when their stream was weak. An enlarged prostate can cause that. Another cause can be a urethral stricture which is scar tissue inside the urethra (the tube that urine passes through).
Since the tip of the penis is not always perfectly symmetrical, it can take some force to keep the stream going straight. You could try spreading the opening a bit right before you start urinating to see if that helps equal things out. If you have a stricture, it can sometimes be diagnosed and treated by a urologist.

I hope that helps.

Re: Pee at an angle

Thank you very much. I have an enlarged prostrate and am taking some medicine for it. I think this is the problem and I will try your suggestion regarding spreading before going. Thanks again.
