For the past few days, I've been having a problem that when I finish urinating, I get off the toilet, pull up my pants and walk away (after flushing of course) only to feel like I still have to urinate. If I try to urinate more, nothing more comes out, but I still feel like I have to go.
I googled this subject and found several different things that cause it but am unsure which is the most common and if it's something really serious and whether or not it requires immediate medical attention or if it's something that will go away in time.
Also, I am a man, age 39 (40 next month)

It sounds like an UTI (infection). Are you having any other symptoms, burning, dark urine, fever?
Nope. No other symptoms. I'm afraid those will come later.
There is one thing I could mention that might be useful. I started taking calcium supplements just before I started having this problem. I decided to stop taking them to see if my situation improves and to see if that may have been the cause. Do you think the calcium may have been a contributing factor?
No I don't think so, but I'm not a doctor. The best thing to do is go to the doc and give him a urine sample. He can tell right away if you have one. A dose of antibiodics will clear it right up.
I hope it will be that simple, if I actually have a UTI. If the problem is that I actually can't empty my bladder, well, I hear the solution is MUCH more complicated. Going to the doctor will hopefully tell me which solution is needed. Thanks for your help!
I can relate totally. My urine output is minimal and I'm freaking out. I just had a ct scan and they said everything looked fine. But I know it's not, without going into a long story I had to have my bladder removed and a new one built 15 yrs ago. I have appt with a specialist the 27th.
