So to start off I started having some urinary pain 2-3 weeks ago. Last week I decided to go to my primary care about my situation. At this period I was only feeling a pain while i urinated and fine when I was done. She did a urine sample and a culture which both were normal.

I came back the next day in even worse pain, my bladder hurt after i was emptying and still a sharp pain while I urinated. He did another urine sample and this time it showed I had an infection. He gave me "Sulfamethoxazole-Tmp DS" for the infection an sent me on my way.

It is now about a week after I finished the dose of anti-biotics and am still in pain. My main symptoms seem to be pain from my anus to my penis. I get pains in my bladder and sides, and after I urinate i get a throbbing pain in my back and my bladder. I also seem to be getting hard stools. The pain in my penis is a lot better I hardly feel any pain and difficulty going is not a problem. I feel Nauseated but haven't actually had to throw up.

I got a Urology consult for this thursday, but I'm wondering if I should head to the E.R or not. Also if by any chance these are caused by kidney stones, and if in fact thats the cause. I am aware when I had a CT scan for another problem that i had 3 kidneys stones all about 2mm in my right kidney, but doctors said they didnt obstruct or would cause any problems.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated !!!
