urinalysis shows blood and bilirubin

I had severe pain in my lower back, and I thought it was my back.
I went to the doctor after the chiropractor did not help. (two weeks after it started) They did a urinalysis in the office, and It showed blood and bilirubin.
The doctor gave me Cipro, and sent the urine for a culture. Aparently I had a kidney infection, because my back pain started to subside the next day.
That explains the blood and bacteria found on the culture, but has anyone ever heard of a kidney infection causing billirubin in urine? They are going to repeat the urine test 10 days after finishing the antibiotic, but I just wanted to know if anyone has ever heard of bilirubin in urine because of an infection?
Thanks.
