In November after a normal weight lifting session I had severe pain in my left testicle on the bottom (doesn't feel like the testicle but the sack), previously it happen around four years ago out of nowhere. The pain subsided like it did the years before but I went to the doctor in December and he ruled out torsion but said it was a possible it was a hernia. He told me no strenuous activities until I go see a specialist and to wear briefs to strengthen. From December until my urologist appointment april 12, the discomfort went away but often times came back at random and lasted from hours to days. Lately however the discomfort has been lingering and it only goes away if I take a pain reliever like Motrin.
I took a weight lifting class in high school for two years in a row and didn't have any pain or discomfort what so ever
So I went to a urologist yesterday and he said it wasn't a hernia and explained something to the effect of a small tear (the example he gave was similar to this) "like when your eating a piece of chicken and when you get closer to the bone, the meat on the bone doesn't come off easily, but you have to tear it off". As for a cure for the daily discomfort he said just take a pain reliever like Motrin and that I can start to exercise again. So am I going to have to live with this discomfort of should I seek a third opinion ?
