Constant burning after turp

3 weeks after turp surgery I still feel a slight burning in my prostate area. Not unbearable but constant. Will this go away.

Re: Constant burning after turp

Iam experiencing the same thing since button turp last thursday, May 17. Went home after one night in hospital. Catheterization caused constipation so I removed on doctor order after three days. I have severe burning at start going and end of urine void. Doctor gave me pyridium yesterday. After 24 hours, no help, actually worse than when I was controlling pain with 5mg percocet. Doctr wants me in tomorrow to check for empty bladder, flow and infection. I was hoping he'd prescribe a different Rx instead of pyridium. I have read on different posts here and beyond that there are several different drugs to tret the nasty burning. I can't sleep for more than one hour through the night and only to torture myself trying to pee. Anyone have suggestions?
