| Bladder Neck Obstruction in Women?
Hi All,
for the past 3 months I have had the feeling that I am not emptying my bladder completely, as well as a frequent urge to pee. This feeling came one day out of nowhere. I am an otherwise very healthy and fit 39 year old female. After going through urodynamics testing as well as a cystoscopy, I was diagnosed with bladder outlet obstruction. I still had about 80cc left in my bladder after voiding. On the cystoscopy, the doc found an overgrowth of normal tissue just at the neck of the bladder which apparently could be causing the obstruction. Not sure why they can't just go in and take that tissue out??? Anyhow, they put me on an alpha blocker(which I haven't taken). I'm afraid to take it because it has the very real risk of lowering blood pressure to the point of fainting and my BP is already low (100/60). Going to get a second opinion from another urologist. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem? Apparently is it somewhat rare in women.
