undescended testicle.

i hope someone here can offer some advice. i was born with an undescended testicle (right side) i believe at 18months i underwent an operation to bring it down, i have never had any issues with self confidence, i have two beautiful sons and a lovely wife. i realised a few years ago that the undescended testicle was significantly smaller than the other, i mean almost non existent but it is there and still very high up in the scrotum, recently after running i have been getting very painful throbbing in my groin area on the right side, emanating centrally (where my right testicle should be) in the groin and travelling up to both the pubic area and into my buttock. more recently when walking i have been getting a very sharp pain in my penis/scrotum (right side) that takes my breath away every time my right foot hits the ground! my question is this, could the fact that my undescended testicle has effectively shrivelled up yet remains inside me and the almost constant throbbing be cause for concern?
any advice would be greatly recieved
matthew.

The worst fear there is is not knowing. We always think the worst. It could very well be that its time to remove the undescended testicle. Hey, why not have it removed anyway?
My advise would be to go see the doctor. It better to know whats going on now, than to wait until it's to late to do anything. Only a doctor can tell you what you need to know.
