Bladder Sling

I had a very slight incontinence problem 10 years ago and had a bladder sling procedure. I now have very little bladder capacity and it seems to get less and less. I have bladder pressure almost all of the time and I've been told by a urologist that the sling is too tight. He suggested he could clip the sling but I'm afraid I will be totally incontinent and have to wear a diaper the rest of my life, so I declined that procedure.

Sometimes I feel very full and there is such a little amount of urine and it is very slow to get started.

Any other suggestions?

Re: Bladder Sling

I have seen an advertisement on TV from a law firm about "bladder sling/pelvic mesh" problems and I think there's a class action lawsuit. You might want to research that. Sorry I can't help more

Re: Bladder Sling

I have seen these commercials too, but I have no idea what type of sling was implanted and the doctor that did it is now deceased. I have no idea how to find out about this problem.

Re: Bladder Sling

Someone must have your medical records. Check with the hospital where the surgery was done or with the doctor that took over the practice after your doctor died. Good luck
