 Need advice!!
I'm 16 I'm currently doing urethral self catheterizations four to six times a day. Because I was constantly ending up in urgent care with not being able to urinate for days. Cathing is hurting like hell! I've talked to my urologist about it he just says try more lubricant or stop cathing for a few days. I tried more lubricant it helps some but it still is unbearable, when I try not to cath for a days or two I'm miserable, I have pain and discomfort in my bladder area. I'm either not able to urinate at all or am going every thirty minutes and hardly anything comes out then at night I'm running to the bathroom four or five times a night or having an accident. Now the doc just says to either cath or not cath. Well I can't not cath, because I either m peeing every thirty minutes, having an accident, or can't urinate at all! But I can't keep cathing this way it unbearable!!! I need an alternative. Any advice please, suggestions?
