Feels like I have to pee, but I can't?
Hi everyone,

I had a UTI that was diagnosed three days ago. At first I had pain each time I urinated and I had to go to the bathroom twice every hour. The doctor prescribed me some Bactrim ds which I finished today, but I am still having strange symptoms down there. My bladder still feels sensitive down there if I touch that area or bend over. I still feel an urge to pee but I just cannot go. Should I wait it out to see if my condition improves, or should I call and make an appointment for tomorrow?

Go back and see your Doc-some infections can be resistant to some antibiotics and UTI's can turn nasty-in the meantime drink plenty of water or cranberry juice.

I would never question your doctor, but most antibiotics are prescribed for 5 to 7 days usage. If your doctor is having a C & S (Culture and Sensitivity) test done, it will take at least 3 days for the results. Your doctor then can prescribe a more suitable antibiotic for you.

As stated by Bruno, drink plenty of fluids, especially water.
