Hi all any input would be great. I drank alcohol extremely excessively throughout my late teens to early 20s, at the end I was drinking at least a fifth daily, sometimes even 1.75 liter "handles" on Saturdays. I started to feel kidney discomfort which was enough to scare me from big drinking for awhile, though I pushed it with binges periodically. So the past 2 years Ive dropped booze but still had daily kidney discomfort, but have been drinking a gallon or so of water to help my system along.

Fast forward to the past few weeks, where Ive been doing intense manual labor for a new construction job. And it appears no matter how much water I drink while laboring, my urine gets darker and the kidneys get more uncomfortable until I stop working at night. I say discomfort because its not a sharp pain, more of a throbbing sensation on both sides. Even on my day off today and fairly hydrated, my urine has been sinking in the toilet bowl without mixing with water and appears dark and appears concentrated. I finally have the money to consider insurance coverage of this requires medical attention. Any thoughts? (Frequent waking up to pee has been ruininv my already fragile sleep schedule as well)
