Anyone with a child that racted for Prevnar vaccine?

My son had a reaction to this, al be it mild. He got slamed with this and 3 others that day! They said that is was the prevnar... he had a low grade fever and bump on the site of the shot.

I am wondering which childhood disease you are talking about.

Here is a very good link you may want to peruse:

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/mmwr_wk.html

Check out how 'many' children actually have those diseases.

I am sure you are aware that the meningitis due to measles was not even reported until after the measles vaccine was on the market.

Then they 'guestimated' how many after effects to measles they may have had based on the side effects to the measles vaccine.

Everything you mentioned can also be caused by the vaccine and oftentimes is.

I seem to recall that those sympmtoms are some of the things the doctor's office warns about with those shots. And our child did have a bump for several days afterwards.

Just to be on the safe side and to make our child comfortable after shots -- I give him tylenol before we go to the clinic -- this is based on what the nurse told us the first time he had his shots. Then if he seems fussier later in the day I'll give him more.

Re: Anyone with a child that racted for Prevnar vaccine?

I'm waiting on a call back from my baby's doftor. He was vaccinated 2/28 and has been scream8ng on and off ever since. His sleep has been very restless and he seems to be in terrible gastric pain on and off...it's terrible to see him suffer from a "well tolerated vaccine"

Re: Anyone with a child that racted for Prevnar vaccine?

PLEASE keep us updated and let us know how your son is doing!!!! Sending positive thoughts your way!!!!

Also, PLEASE report this reaction to VAERS https://secure.vaers.org/VaersDataEntryintro.htm
If more people would do this, maybe more people will see that negative reactions happen often.

PRAYING FOR YOUR LITTLE ONE TO GET BETTER FAST!

Your son is having a severe vaccine reaction and it must be reported to:
VAERS

http://www.fda.gov/cber/vaers/vaers.htm

I will be praying for him and the thousands of others who are having a reaction right now. It is so sad.
