At what age did your child/children receive this vaccine? My pediatrician wanted to give it to my son at 12 months combined with the varicella vaccine. I chose to just get the varicella and wait until his 15 or 18 month appt. for the MMR. It seems like they are over loading their little bodies with so many at once.
My daughter just got the MMR at 12 Months along with her Hib shot and a Hep A vaccination. We waiting until the 18 month visit to give her the Chicken Pox and her forth Tetanus shot. I understand they give another MMR at 4 years. I've read where the MMR and Chicken pox together may have more side effects than doing it separate
We got the chicken pox shot at the 12 month appt. The ped wanted to do the mmr also, but I wanted to wait until his 18 month appt. I am still not sure I want to do it yet. (its at the end of november) I do not think it causes autism so that is not my reasoning for waiting. I have did some research and it says that it has a higher effectiveness if given after 15-18 months.
