Question What 18 month Vaccines?

My question is: What shots are required at 18 months?

Re: What 18 month Vaccines?

Technically..no vaccine is required. Each ped. and office might be differant..on their own schedule.

Re: What 18 month Vaccines?

Actually, there is an official schedule for the US. You can ******** it at:

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/child-schedule.htm#printable

I don't know what vaccines she's had already, I think you had her on a reduced schedule? She's probably past the age where HiB could put her in the hospital on a respirator, but you definitely want the Hep B, Meningitis, polio, and MMR before she goes to school, as those could cause very serious problems even in older children or adults. (Girls need that rubella vaccine eventually, as rubella causes birth defects).

I like you, so I'll tell you something I'd never let on to most people who question vaccination. As long as all her classmates and friends are up on their shots, hers aren't so critical. But if her playmates parents are anti-vaccination, your community is at risk for an outbreak of vaccine-preventable disease.
