I had a tetnus shot 5 days ago. The first day went ok. Second day I had a red spot about 2 inches in diameter and sore. By night fall the red area was larger & I had a fever of 102. Third day the red area was 5" by 4", hot, hard as a rock, itched and had tiny blisters which turned into larger blisters later that evening again with fever 102. Fourth day the red, hot, hard area is now 8" by 6" and the redness is spreading down my arm, still had fever 102. Fifth day I finally get in to see my dr and he gave me a powerfull antibiotic because by this time the hard area was the infected area, still had blisters & he gave me alergy pills & told me to put ice on it. No fever today but because I had fever of 102 for 3 days, I'm pretty weak and have an upset stomach. I did call my dr on day 3 but got the physian on call & he said "not" to put ice on it. Tomorrow will be day 6 and we'll see what happens now with the 2 medicines.
