I recently took my 14 month old to get her shots, she needed 3 she recieved one in the thigh then 2 in the back of the arm. I have two older kids and they always recieved them in the thighs, I asked family and friends and no one has ever heard of getting a shot in the back of the arm for 14 month old? may i ask why???? OUCH!
For that age group they will often avoid injections in the thighs as they are new walkers. At least recently that seems to be the trend. I recall both of my children receiving their 12 month vaccinations in the arm, then at their next - 18 months - they switched back to the legs.
