| Partial vaccine injection to test if there are side effects
Hi
I had only 1 BCG shot when I was 1 year old. Now I am 23, and had no vaccinations since then. I am planning to get tetanus/diphteria shot. What if I ask the doctor to inject only a part of full dose of the vaccine? Let's say Td vaccine dose is 0.5 ml, and what if I get injected only 0.1 ml? Is it a good way to check if there are bad side effects (Barre syndrome, anaphylaction)? The reason for partial dose injection is that if there were any negative reactions, they would be less severe. If there were no severe reactions, I could get normal vaccinations later on.
So is the partial dose injection OK? Thank you
